WYBL All-Stars 2021

It's all-star time again, we 're looking forward to seeing the recreation season continue for the players selected to represent their age divisions and WYBL. All-star baseball is the culmination of the recreation season, and players are required to have participated in rec ball. While many players who are selected for all-stars also play for our Revolution travel organization, the process for building rosters differs. You can read more about Revolution teams if you are interested.

Near the end of the spring recreation season, the coordinator of a division will make an all-star coach recommendation to the executive leadership committee of the WYBL board of directors. Once a coach is approved by the committee, he or she and the other divisional recreation coaches come together to build the all-star roster. Throughout the season, coaches take note of skills, sportsmanship, and hard work in their players and opponents. At least the first eight slots are agreed on by all coaches in the division. From there, the head coach can fill remaining slots based on what the team needs to be a well-rounded group on and off the field.

These teams may play together at the district, state, regional, and national levels to represent our community through WYBL. Play continues until a team is eliminated from competition, at which time the all-star season is over.  As representatives of Williamsburg, James City County, and upper York County, we hope the entire WYBL and surrounding community will show support through encouragement and volunteering.
