Juniors Division Change - Fall Season

In response to the shifted middle and high school baseball seasons in spring 2021, WYBL moved our Juniors recreation season to the fall to avoid conflicts. After evaluating last season, we believe the shift was beneficial to our players, so we’re keeping Juniors recreation baseball as a fall season again in 2022.

We’ve seen diminishing numbers in our 13-15 year old division over the last few years and we attribute that to our season following so closely to the school season, as well as the overlap with end of school year activities and summer break. This year, we had a high player count and players were thriving. The spirit of competition, yet development, was on full display with well-balanced rosters and exciting game play.

We encourage all baseball players who hope to play baseball in school, to play Juniors baseball with WYBL. The experience on the ‘big’ field with teammates and competition up to 16 years old (non-varsity), is invaluable. Likewise, we welcome those players who want to play a more casual season than middle or high school and travel ball, and those who may want to develop at new positions and strengthen fundamentals. One of our favorite things to watch, are more senior players emerge as leaders and mentors through close interaction with younger players, given the age range. Juniors baseball offers opportunities to all.

We look forward to another great Juniors season in 2022. Please look for registration to open in late spring.
